Mechanical and infrastructure Engineering Team Leader

Prepare and manage the mechanical and infrastructure shop drawing list (E1) including related materials and submission schedule aligned with project planning.

Lead the preparation and review of shop drawings for all mechanical systems (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, infrastructure).

Ensure that all deliverables comply with project specifications, codes, and local regulations.

Manage and guide the mechanical engineering team to meet schedule and quality objectives.

Review all contract documents (drawings, BOQ, specifications) and highlight technical gaps or conflicts.

Coordinate daily with Architectural, Structural, and Electrical teams to ensure multidisciplinary alignment.

Conduct weekly meetings to review team progress and address technical challenges.

Attend site coordination meetings to ensure updates reflect site execution and technical requirements.

Identify and resolve potential design and constructability issues before implementation.

Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and Procurement teams to resolve mechanical-related challenges.

Review and coordinate with subcontractors’ shop drawings, calculation and material submittal to ensure full compliance before submission.

Support the Section Head in maintaining event logs, additional items, and lessons learned registers.

Evaluate subcontractor performance and share assessments with Procurement Department.

Ensure the implementation of approved engineering methodology and adherence to quality standards.

Review required calculation prior submission.

Coordinate with consultant all submission to expedite approval.

Follow up all BIM requirements with seniors and prepare the models parameters to expedite production of shop drawing.

Provide support to other departments (planning - procurement and tender) to achieve proper integration.

Minimum +9 years of relevant ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Expertise in BIM tools (Revit MEP, Navisworks) and AutoCAD.Knowledge of international standards and mechanical design principles.Skilled in preparing RFIs, design comparisons, and coordination reports.Advanced experience in mechanical coordination and shop drawing management.Strong understanding of HVAC design, plumbing and firefighting systems, and external networks.Proficient in BIM workflows and multi-trade integration.Advanced Experience in Mechanical Calculation (HAP, ESP, Duct Sizing, Pipe Sizing, elite .. etc.)
