Mechanical Engineer – Caterpillar Equipment - Yemen

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Caterpillar (CAT) heavy equipment to join our team in Yemen.

The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and performance optimization of Caterpillar machinery.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on Caterpillar heavy equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues.Conduct inspections and recommend repair or replacement of defective components.Oversee equipment performance to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimize downtime.Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to schedule repairs and maintenance activities.Periodic Maintenance and top and major overhaul of Caterpillar Engines.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards.Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and junior engineers.Monitor spare parts requirements and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability.Support equipment commissioning, testing, and operational readiness.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.6+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is mandatory.Specific experience on Cat 3600/ 3500 and C models required.Fully conversant with Caterpillar service systems including SIS /TMI.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance documentation.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to relocate to Yemen.
