الوصف الوظيفي

  • Develop and implement purchasing and category-management strategies aligned with the mall’s sales, profitability, and inventory objectives.
  • Manage the complete purchasing cycle, including supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, purchase-order issuance, and delivery follow-up.
  • Identify and select reliable suppliers based on product quality, competitive pricing, product availability, delivery performance, and commercial terms.
  • Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, discounts, rebates, promotional support, compensation, penalties, and annual agreements.
  • Prepare purchase orders based on sales forecasts, stock levels, consumption rates, supplier lead times, and approved purchasing budgets.
  • Ensure continuous product availability while maintaining inventory levels within company-approved limits.
  • Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, ageing, and obsolete inventory and implement the necessary corrective actions.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure that orders are delivered completely, accurately, and on time.
  • Resolve delivery shortages, damaged products, quality issues, invoice discrepancies, and other supplier-related problems.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, receiving, sales, finance, and mall-management teams to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing operations.
  • Ensure that received products comply with approved specifications, quality standards, purchase orders, and agreed quantities.
  • Monitor product-receiving and inspection procedures and address any discrepancies or non-conforming products.
  • Conduct regular market surveys and competitor analyses covering prices, product assortments, promotional activities, and market trends.
  • Review product assortments and introduce new products and suppliers based on customer demand and market opportunities.
  • Achieve monthly targets related to sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, rebates, cost savings, and supplier income.
  • Plan and coordinate seasonal, monthly, and supplier-funded promotional campaigns.
  • Review product pricing to maintain market competitiveness while achieving the required gross-profit margins.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs such as delivery lead time, order-fill rate, product quality, pricing compliance, and response time.
  • Review supplier contracts and ensure compliance with agreed prices, payment terms, discounts, specifications, and delivery conditions.
  • Analyze purchasing and category data and prepare regular management reports covering purchasing volumes, stock availability, supplier performance, cost savings, profit margins, and inventory risks.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the purchasing team and assign responsibilities across the mall’s different product categories.
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies, approved authority levels, and internal-control procedures.

المتطلبات والشروط

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Over 15 years of relevant experience in purchasing and category management, including at least5 years in a managerial position.
  • Proven professional experience in theretail sector is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in thehousehold products and homeware sector is highly preferred, particularly within retail malls, hypermarkets, or retail-store chains.
  • A strong supplier network and extensive knowledge of the local retail market.
  • Excellent negotiation, contracting, pricing, supplier-sourcing, and supplier-management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of product-quality inspection, receiving procedures, product specifications, and the handling of non-conforming deliveries.
  • Excellent understanding of gross margins, inventory turnover, stock ageing, rebates, purchasing budgets, and cost-saving techniques.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Exceland good experience withERP systems.
  • Experience withMicrosoft Dynamicsis preferred.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
  • Candidates residing in or near Obour City are preferred.
  • Having a private car is preferred.
