Main Responsibilities (including but not limited to)Shift Quality Team CoordinationSupervise daily quality inspection teams across assigned shifts, allocating resources per production priority.Assign inspection zones, workloads, and sampling plans to inspectors under Section Head guidance.Conduct shift-start briefings on quality priorities, defect alerts, and performance targets.

Quality Execution OversightMonitor real-time inspection progress across casting, setting, polishing, plating, and finishing operations.Review inspector findings, validate critical defects, and approve quality releases for production flow.Coordinate escalated inspections for high-value pieces and customer-specific requirements.

Team Performance & DevelopmentCoach inspectors on techniques, standards, and equipment use during live production.Conduct shift-end performance reviews, providing feedback and recognition to team members.Identify training needs and coordinate skill development with Quality Section Head.

Defect Management & ResolutionReview and prioritize Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) from inspection teams.Coordinate cross-shift defect handovers and rework scheduling with production supervisors.Track team defect detection rates and implement immediate improvement actions.

Process Monitoring & VerificationOversee shift compliance with quality SOPs, inspection protocols, and calibration schedules.Perform spot-checks and random verifications of inspector work for consistency.Support process trials and new product introductions through team quality validation.

Cross-Functional Shift CoordinationLiaise with shift Production Supervisors to balance quality requirements with delivery schedules.Provide real-time quality status to Planning and Production for schedule adjustments.Coordinate incoming material inspections with warehouse teams during shift transitions.

Reporting Shift DocumentationCompile shift quality performance reports for Quality Section Head review.Update shift dashboards with team KPIs (FPY, defect rates, inspection throughput).Maintain shift handover logs documenting open issues, quality holds, and team status.

Education Diploma or bachelor’s degree in quality management, Industrial Engineering, Gemology, or related field. ASQ Certified Quality Technician or similar preferred.Work Experience: 5–7+ years in quality inspection/quality control, with 2+ years supervising inspection teams or shift operations.Experience in luxury jewelry, precision manufacturing, or high-value goods with team coordination responsibility.Strong working knowledge of jewelry quality processes and inspection methodologies.

Experience supervising quality teams using QMS software and inspection equipment in shift environments.Skills:Strong quality inspection oversight and team coordination for multi-stage jewelry production.Knowledge of quality standards across jewelry manufacturing processes and defect types.Proficient in quality management systems, shift scheduling tools, and team performance tracking.Effective shift supervision, inspector coaching, and performance management skills.Ability to review defects, prioritize NCRs, and coordinate cross-shift quality actions.KPI oversight include team FPY, defect detection rates, and shift inspection completion.Clear communication for shift briefings, cross-functional coordination, and escalation reporting.
