Senior HVAC Design Engineer

Review project requirements, client specifications, contracts, tender documents, and applicable codes and standards.Lead the preparation of concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction designs.Perform and review engineering calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and technical evaluations.Prepare and review design drawings, layouts, schematics, specifications, schedules, and bills of quantities.Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international codes, authority requirements, and project specifications.Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure full design integration.Resolve design conflicts, technical issues, and coordination clashes.Review architectural and engineering drawings for space, accessibility, maintainability, and constructability.Prepare technical reports, design criteria, calculation reports, material specifications, and engineering studies.Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical proposals, and vendor documents.Respond to RFIs, consultant comments, client comments, and authority requirements.Attend and lead design coordination meetings, technical workshops, client meetings, and project progress meetings.Support technical proposals, tender submissions, cost estimates, and value-engineering studies.Evaluate alternative design solutions to improve performance, reduce cost, and enhance constructability.Monitor design progress and ensure deliverables are completed according to the approved schedule.Support site teams by providing technical clarifications and resolving design-related issues during construction.Review site conditions and incorporate approved changes into updated drawings and as-built documentation.Participate in design reviews, quality audits, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.Ensure compliance with quality management, health and safety, and document-control procedures.Guide and review the work of junior engineers and CAD/BIM staff when assigned.Perform other duties assigned by the Design Manager or Technical Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering design, preferably in consultants’ offices. Excellent AutoCAD skills. Strong knowledge of Revit and related design software. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent English language skills, written and spoken. Strong experience in design development and technical coordination. Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and authority requirements. Client-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage design changes and drive them across projects and stakeholders. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
