Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.Manage engineering projects from concept through design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and reports.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and failure analyses to improve product reliability and performance.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, civil, process, procurement, manufacturing, and quality departments.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.Review vendor proposals, technical submittals, and material specifications.Support procurement activities through technical evaluations and equipment selection.Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and design optimization.Participate in client meetings, site visits, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as required.Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and project presentations.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering calculations, and material selection.Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.Experience using engineering analysis tools, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), is preferred.Familiarity with applicable engineering codes and international standards.Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
