Senior Oracle Database Administrator DBA [Bank Outsource LongTerm]

Job Summary: We are seeking for one of the largest Bank in Egypt a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and support mission-critical database systems in a high-availability production environment.

The role includes performance tuning, database security, backup and recovery, and ensuring system availability using RAC and Data Guard technologies.

Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain Oracle databases in production environmentsPerform performance tuning and troubleshootingManage backup and recovery using RMANImplement and support RAC and Data Guard configurationsApply database patches and upgrades with minimal downtimeEnsure database security (encryption, auditing, access control)Perform capacity planning and monitoringAutomate DBA tasks using scriptingCollaborate with application and infrastructure teamsParticipate in on-call support

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Oracle DBA role in production environmentsTechnical Skills: Strong expertise in Oracle Database AdministrationExperience with Oracle RMAN, backup and recovery processes.Strong experience in Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Exadata.In-depth knowledge of database security, including encryption, auditing, and access management.Experience with patching databases, including applying critical patches and updates with minimal downtime.Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems, including scripting and automation.Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and performance management.Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions for databases.Experience in database capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle Exadata Architecture and administration.Familiarity with the banking industry and its specific database requirements.Experience with database administration on platforms such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.Familiarity with other relational and NoSQL database technologies.Experience with Middleware like Oracle WebLogic Server, JBOSS, Wildfly, or other middleware solutions.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressureGood communication and teamwork skills
