Senior PV Design Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & EngineeringDevelop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering designs for Solar PV systems.Perform system sizing, energy yield analysis, and performance simulations.Design DC and AC electrical systems, including module layouts, string configurations, inverter sizing, cable routing, and equipment selection.Prepare engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.Optimize system designs to achieve maximum energy production and cost efficiency.Technical Assessment & ComplianceConduct feasibility studies and technical due diligence for new solar projects.Ensure compliance with local regulations, utility requirements, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).Review technical specifications, vendor documentation, and contractor submissions.Support permitting and grid interconnection processes.Project Execution SupportCoordinate with project managers, procurement teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover.Review shop drawings, material submittals, and engineering documents.Assist in resolving technical issues and implementing engineering improvements during project execution.Quality & PerformanceVerify the quality and accuracy of engineering deliverables.Support testing, commissioning, and performance verification activities.Monitor project performance and recommend optimization measures where required.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in renewable energy.

Requirements✅ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.✅ 3–7 years of experience in Solar PV Design Engineering.✅ Proven experience in utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects.✅ Strong knowledge of:Solar PV system design principlesElectrical engineering fundamentalsGrid interconnection requirementsInternational standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.)✅ Proficiency in engineering software such as:PVsystAutoCADHelioscopeETAP (preferred)Microsoft Office Suite✅ Experience in preparing technical reports, design calculations, and engineering documentation.✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.✅ Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
