Senior R&D Chemist – Fertilizers & Agrochemicals

About the RoleWe are a specialty fertilizers manufacturer looking for an experienced and driven Senior R&D Chemist to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the research, development, and formulation of new fertilizer products and agrochemical solutions — from concept to commercial launch.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize new fertilizer formulas and specialty agrochemical productsConduct laboratory experiments, trials, and performance testing on new and existing formulationsAnalyze raw materials, evaluate suppliers, and recommend alternatives to improve quality or reduce costCollaborate with the production team to ensure smooth scale-up from lab to manufacturingMonitor and document all R&D activities, results, and technical reportsStay up to date with market trends, competitor products, and advances in agrochemical scienceEnsure all formulations comply with local and international regulatory standardsSupport registration and approval processes for new products

RequirementsB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field5 to 8 years of experience in R&D or formulation within the fertilizers, agrochemicals, or specialty chemicals industry (candidates from outside this industry will not be considered)Proven track record of developing and launching new chemical productsStrong knowledge of fertilizer types (NPK, micronutrients, chelates, liquid, etc.)Hands-on experience in a laboratory environmentExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skillsProficient in writing technical reports in Arabic and English
