Senior Steel Detailing Engineer

The Steel Detailing Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of steel structures, collaborating with architects and engineers, ensuring accuracy in structural design, and preparing documentation needed for fabrication and construction.

Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and interpreting blueprints, developing and modifying steel detail drawings, and coordinating with project teams to ensure efficient workflow.

QualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar software for steel detailingStrong understanding of structural steel design and fabrication processesExcellent ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing steel detail drawingsEffective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with architects, engineers, and project teams.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fieldExperience from 5 to 7 years with industry standards and codes related to steel constructionAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentPrevious experience in the construction or heavy steel fabrication industry is a plus
