Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer with very good Facade Engineering understanding, to lead the structural design and technical development of complex engineering projects.

The role involves structural analysis, design review, technical coordination, and delivery of engineering solutions for steel, reinforced concrete, and façade support systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that designs are safe, efficient, code-compliant, and aligned with project requirements from concept design through detailed engineering and construction support.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, and technical submissions.Design and coordinate primary and secondary steel structures, façade support systems, and critical structural components.Ensure compliance with applicable design codes, standards, and project specifications.Review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction-related technical submissions.Provide technical support during construction and resolve engineering and site-related issues.Coordinate with architects, façade consultants, MEP engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and design optimization.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.Attend technical and client coordination meetings as required.

Education & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering and design.Proven experience in steel structures and reinforced concrete design.Experience in façade support structures, curtain walls, GRC, UHPC, GFRP, or lightweight systems is highly desirable.Experience delivering projects from concept design through detailed design and construction support.Experience in high-rise, industrial, commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects is preferred.Technical SkillsStructural Analysis & Design SoftwareSAP2000ETABSSTAAD.ProAutodesk Robot Structural AnalysisIDEA StatiCaDesign StandardsAISCEurocodesACIASCERelevant regional and international standardsAdditional SkillsStrong structural engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and coordination abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong leadership and team mentoring capabilities.Experience with BIM platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, or Tekla Structures is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.LanguagesNative Arabic speaker.Professional or fluent English proficiency.
