50%Project scope and estimationReview client RFPs and related documents to identify project scope, requirements, and deliverables.Address project queries to ensure a clear understanding of client expectations and technical specifications.Identify key project items and create preliminary BOQs with detailed quantities.Prepare and divide supplier packages based on project disciplines and work types, ensuring packages are clear and ready for supplier pricing.Maintain a comprehensive list of packages and track all estimation activities.Prepare detailed Quantity Surveying (QS) sheets for all project elements, clarifying data gaps and ensuring accuracy.Develop and maintain BOQs using internal standards or the client’s format as required.Coordinate with technical and design teams to ensure estimation aligns with design intent and project requirements. 10%Technical coordination and reportingReview and validate technical documents for compliance, completeness, and alignment with client standards.Propose missing or additional items as needed to ensure comprehensive estimation.Ensure technical reports and narratives accompany all deliverables, including clarifications and project overviews.Address technical queries during the project lifecycle, collaborating closely with the bidding and technical teams in the head office.Prepare clarification and narrative reports and develop preliminary project presentations summarizing scope, assets, and estimation approach.20%Quantity Takeoff and Technical ScopingReview and confirm the takeoff prepared by the team.Ensure all quantities are accurate, complete, and aligned with the project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.Verify any gaps, discrepancies, missing items, or inconsistencies before finalizing the technical scope.Support the preparation of the final technical submission based on the confirmed takeoff.Coordinate with the team to ensure the takeoff reflects the correct project requirements and measurement basis.10%Value Engineering (Technical)Support the team in reviewing the tender design and specifications to identify possible technical value engineering opportunities.Suggest alternative materials, systems, methods, or details that maintain required quality, performance, and compliance.Evaluate proposed alternatives from a technical standpoint to ensure they are practical, buildable, and suitable for the project.Coordinate with the design, estimation, and procurement teams to assess the impact of technical alternatives on scope and execution.Prepare supporting technical justifications and narratives for any recommended value engineering options.Ensure that all proposed alternatives comply with project requirements, client expectations, and relevant standards.Contribute to improving project efficiency, constructability, and technical optimization during the tender stage.10%Technical Proposal Documentation and ReportsPrepare and compile all technical proposal documents and reports required for tender submission.Ensure the proposal content is complete, clear, and aligned with the RFP requirements and project scope.Prepare technical narratives, clarifications, and project overview documents as needed.Develop and maintain compliance matrices, technical summary sheets, and supporting registers.Coordinate with the team to gather all technical inputs, revisions, and supporting information.Review the final documentation for consistency, accuracy, and professional presentation before submission.Ensure all technical deliverables are organized and submitted in accordance with the client’s format and requirements. WORK CONTACTSInternal ExternalDirect contact with:Estimation team, design team, planning, and relevant project stakeholders for coordination of technical data and proposal inputs for mechanical systems.Direct contact with:Consultants, clients, and partners for mechanical technical clarifications and coordination during tender/proposal stage (as delegated).
Necessary Knowledge and ExperienceB.Sc. in Architecture Engineering or a related field from a reputable university, with experience in landscape work.Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in proposal projects, quantity surveying, or technical office roles within landscape or construction projects.Solid background in landscape and hardscape elements, especially on mega projects.In-depth knowledge of hardscape materials, finishes, and construction methods.Familiarity with Saudi, Gulf, and international landscape codes and standards.Proven experience in technical office roles, preferably within landscape architecture or related fields.Advanced skills in BIM management and modeling, preferably in landscape architecture.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability, with exceptional documentation and project management skills.Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present technical and estimation concepts.Education and Certification Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Architecture Engineering. 10-15 years of overall experience in equivalent proposal position in Landscape projects.Job Specific Technical SkillsHigh proficiency in reading and interpreting infrastructure drawings, specifications, and BOQs.Strong skills in quantity takeoff using AutoCAD and related tools and takeoff software like Costx or Planswfit.Proficiency in computer software (MS Office, especially Excel and Word) for takeoff sheets and technical reports.Familiarity with tendering procedures, RFP requirements, and technical proposal compilation.
