Warehouse Section Head

Job Summary:The Farm Warehouse Section Head is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities related to farm operations, including receiving, storing, inventory control, and issuing agricultural materials, feed, veterinary supplies, spare parts, and other farm-related items.

The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper storage conditions, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:Supervise daily warehouse operations and warehouse staff.Manage receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of farm materials and supplies.Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to prevent shortages or overstocking.Ensure proper storage conditions for feed, veterinary products, chemicals, and agricultural inputs.Maintain inventory accuracy within the ERP system.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse reports.Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and biosecurity standards.Coordinate with farm managers and other departments regarding material requirements.Optimize warehouse space utilization and material handling processes.Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel.Ensure adherence to company policies and warehouse procedures.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in agriculture, poultry, livestock, or farming operations.Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.Skills & Competencies:Inventory Control & Stock ManagementLeadership & Team ManagementWarehouse OperationsERP SystemsProblem Solving & Decision MakingCommunication & CoordinationTime ManagementAttention to DetailHealth, Safety & Biosecurity Awareness
