Job Description
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business goals Manage product assortment, ensuring a balanced mix of styles, price points, and trends Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive decisions Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms, and exclusive products Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and inventory turnover Collaborate with marketing and visual merchandising teams to optimize product presentation Identify opportunities for new product development and private label expansion Track competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly Ensure category profitability and achievement of KPIs (sales, margin, stock turns)
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 4–7+ years’ experience in retail buying/category management (furniture preferred)
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or retail analytics tools Strong understanding of furniture trends, materials, and customer preferences Excellent communication and leadership skills
Requirements & Qualifications
