DevOps Engineer – OCI, CI/CD & Temenos (Banking) | Egyptians Only
Job Description
- We need a Platform Engineer to take ownership of the technical foundation behind a bank's Branch Automation platform.
This is not a greenfield build — it's an undocumented, live environment spanning Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), internal services, banking middleware, and third-party integrations.
- Your core mission: make sense of this landscape.
You'll map infrastructure and networks from scratch, discover and document integration points, reverse-engineer undocumented APIs, write validation test scripts, and build the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure to support ongoing delivery.
- A key workstream involves establishing connectivity with Temenos Infinity (Quantum Fabric) — either consuming its APIs or exposing new ones — and applying that same rigor across the entire estate.
- This role suits someone who's comfortable with ambiguity, treats documentation as a real deliverable (not an afterthought), and can move confidently across infrastructure, integration, and automation work.
- What you'll do:
- Conduct full environment discovery: infrastructure, network topology, service dependencies, data flows — and turn it into structured documentation (diagrams, network maps, service/integration registers)
- Catalogue all integration points across the estate (Temenos Infinity, core banking platforms, government portals, payment gateways, legacy services)
- Reverse-engineer undocumented APIs (probing endpoints, traffic analysis) and produce formal
- OpenAPI specs / Postman collections
- Write automated test scripts (Postman/Newman, pytest, or k6) that plug into CI/CD
- Investigate and implement Temenos Infinity/Quantum Fabric connectivity — SOAP-to-REST bridging, middleware orchestration, ADRs, and integration runbooks
- Provision and manage OCI services (Compute, VCN, Load Balancer, OKE, Object Storage, Vault, OCI DevOps) via Terraform/Resource Manager
- Manage Docker/Kubernetes (OKE) workloads
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Jenkins) with test gates, SAST scanning, and environment promotion
Requirements & Qualifications
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience mapping undocumented infrastructure/networks and producing clear technical documentation
- API reverse-engineering: Postman, Wireshark, Burp Suite or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with Temenos Infinity / Quantum Fabric (SOAP-to-REST bridging, MBaaS configuration)
- 2+ years building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)Docker + Kubernetes (OKE experience a plus)
- Terraform or Ansible; strong Git workflows
- OCI hands-on experience (Compute, VCN, OKE, Object Storage, IAM, Vault)
- Monitoring/observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent)
- Strong technical writing — able to produce runbooks, ADRs, and API references from raw discovery work
- FinTech/banking domain experience strongly preferredNice to have:
- Node.js/NestJS (TypeScript) familiarity
- ArgoCD/GitOps, OCI API Gateway
- SonarQube or similar SAST tooling
- PCI DSS awareness
