Dispatch Section Head – Distribution & Transportation Operations

We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Section Head to join our team and manage finished goods distribution and transportation operations to our B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities:Manage daily dispatch operations and ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers.Execute and monitor the daily shipping plan in coordination with Warehousing, Sales, and Production departments.Manage external transportation contractors and ensure availability of suitable transportation resources.Negotiate transportation rates and maintain effective relationships with transport service providers.Monitor loading, dispatch, and delivery activities to ensure smooth operations.Follow up on shipments until successful delivery and handle any transportation issues.Review and verify transportation invoices and contractors’ settlements.Evaluate transportation contractors’ performance and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.Control transportation costs and identify opportunities for improvement.

Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.Minimum 7 years of experience in Dispatch, Distribution, or Transportation Operations within a manufacturing environment.Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory / section head position.Proven experience in managing external transportation contractors and freight operations.Strong experience in finished goods distribution and customer deliveries.Experience in negotiating transportation rates and reviewing transport settlements.Excellent planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Good command of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Preferred Experience in Plastic, FMCG, Chemicals, Detergents, or Manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
