Job Description
Job SummaryResponsible for managing end-to-end logistics and import operations, ensuring timely clearance of shipments, cost efficiency, and compliance with Egyptian customs and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesHandle import shipments from suppliers from order placement to final deliveryCoordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agentsManage documentation: Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, Form 4, certificatesTrack shipments and ensure on-time ETD/ETA follow-upLiaise with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearanceMonitor and optimize freight costs, duties, and lead timesMaintain records of shipments, costs, and supplier performanceCoordinate with procurement and warehouse for delivery planningHandle shipping delays, claims, or discrepancies
Requirements2–5 years experience in logistics / importation / supply chainStrong knowledge of Egyptian customs proceduresFamiliarity with Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)Experience dealing with freight forwarders and clearing agentsGood command of English (written & spoken)Proficient in Excel and documentation handlingPreferredExperience in manufacturing or packaging industryKnowledge of HS codes and duty structuresSkillsStrong follow-up and coordinationProblem-solving under pressureCost control mindsetAttention to detail
