Procurement Specialist

Source and procure raw materials, steel plates, structural steel, pipes, fittings, welding consumables, and fabrication-related materials.Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified local, regional, and international suppliers.Obtain quotations, prepare RFQs, compare offers, and conduct commercial evaluations.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.Issue and follow up on Purchase Orders to ensure on-time delivery.Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Projects, Warehouse, and Finance departments regarding procurement requirements.Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, responsiveness, and delivery.Manage foreign procurement activities, including imports, shipping, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.Maintain and update approved supplier databases and procurement records.Analyze market trends, steel prices, and supply chain risks to support procurement decisions.Participate in cost reduction initiatives and strategic sourcing activities.Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance evaluations.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.Experience in Steel Fabrication, Steel Manufacturing, Metal Structures, or Raw Materials Procurement is Mandatory.Strong knowledge of steel products, fabrication materials, and industrial procurement processes.Experience in sourcing from local and international suppliers.Regional (GCC/MENA) and foreign procurement experience is a strong advantage.Good understanding of import/export procedures, shipping terms, and Incoterms.Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Very good command of English, both written and spoken.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
