Product Designer - Furniture

Generating concept designs using computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modelling, card models, free hand sketches or hard prototypes.Using software packages such as Rhino, Solid works, AutoCAD, sketch Up, Photoshop and Illustrator.Preparing detailed final design package.Preparing rendered design photo images and presentations. Keeping informed about design trends and developments.Studying, researching and planning various styles of furniture design.Evaluating issues such as pricing and fixing costs, fashion, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods andtechniques.Using various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items.Attending workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design.Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and textiles. Liaising with craftsmen or production department staff, such as production managers, marketing staff and design engineers,about the process of construction or manufacturing.Obtains approval from the design committee, or authorized company officials, and originates scale or full-size drawing, usingdrawing instruments.Finding ways to improve furniture items already manufactured.Prepares detailed final designs to be ready for manufacturing.Collect product data.Preparing final product design pack.

 BA in product design applied arts, or fine arts. 2 to 5 years of work experience. Creative portfolio Identifying creative market trends and acting accordingly.Professional skillset on design process and design tools such as Rhino, Sketch up, Solid works, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator,InDesign, Keyshot, Corona and Vray. Innovation & creativity skills (art direction, graphics, products curating, trend forecasting)Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.Strong visual awareness and an eye for detailHave good drawing skills.inventive and imaginativepassionate about furniture and design.
