Chinese Translator

We urgently need a site translator at our engineering project site in Egypt who is fluent in both Arabic and Mandarin.

The primary role is to facilitate daily communication between the Chinese foreman and the Egyptian workforce.

Main Responsibilities Accompany the Chinese foreman to the construction site and provide 100% on-site translation daily (work instructions, safety briefings, technical briefings, schedule coordination, quality communication, etc.).

Accurately, quickly, and conversationally translate the foreman's Chinese instructions into Egyptian Arabic (enough for ordinary workers to understand)

Clearly relay worker feedback and on-site issues to Chinese management in Chinese.

Assist with daily communication such as attendance tracking, payroll confirmation, and labor insurance disbursement.

Occasionally assist with translating simple written documents (forms, notices, warning signs, etc.).

Job Requirements: Native Arabic speaker;

Fluent in Mandarin, able to understand Mandarin spoken on construction sites (HSK Level 5 or above preferred);

At least 1 year of experience as an on-site translator for construction projects;

Outgoing, patient, hardworking, and able to adapt to construction site conditions;

Good health, no fear of heights or dust allergies.
