Job Description
- Coordinate customs clearance activities for import and export shipments through airports, seaports, and Free Zone authorities.
- Prepare, review, and verify customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable customs regulations.
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Follow up on customs declarations, permits, and approvals required for import and export transactions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain the required shipping and customs documents before shipment clearance.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve customs clearance issues to minimize delays.
- Ensure compliance with Free Zone regulations and customs procedures for all import and export activities.
- Maintain accurate customs records and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate the payment and settlement of customs-related charges, duties, and service fees when applicable.
- Follow up with airport authorities regarding urgent shipments and ensure timely release of cargo.
- Prepare periodic reports on customs clearance activities and shipment status.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customs clearance efficiency and reduce lead time.
