Job Description

  • Develop Architectural Concepts: Create innovative architectural concepts, space planning layouts, building massing, and 3D volumetric studies from scratch.
  • Produce Design Packages: Generate full architectural concept proposals, presentation boards, mood boards, and 3D renders for client reviews.
  • Site & Code Analysis: Study site boundaries, zoning rules, plot constraints, and Saudi Building Code (SBC) requirements to optimize space usage and plot coverage.
  • Draft Construction Documentation: Personally prepare, draft, and issue comprehensive architectural drawing sets using AutoCAD and Revit:Municipality permit drawings and submission packages.Full working drawings (detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, elevations, and enlarged blow-up details).Material schedules, door/window schedules, and finish legends.

  • Detailing & Material Selection: Develop accurate architectural details (wall sections, waterproofing details, façade connections, joinery details, and material specifications).
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Actively coordinate architectural models/drawings with Structural, MEP, Civil, Interior, and Landscape packages to resolve clashes before site execution.
  • Interior & Façade Integration: Design and draw exterior façade systems (cladding, curtain walls, shading) and align interior layouts, joinery, and lighting with the core architectural design.
  • Consultant & Authority Reviews: Review, update, and integrate comments from external consultants, clients, and municipal authorities into the active drawing packages.
  • Cost-Smart Design: Proactively incorporate value engineering (VE) solutions into the design and drawing stage—selecting cost-effective, locally available materials and efficient building systems without compromising aesthetic quality.
  • Design Revisions: Modify, update, and optimize existing drawing sets based on structural limits, site conditions, or commercial feedback.
  • Shop Drawing Review: Review and cross-check contractor shop drawings, submittals, and material samples against the design intent.
  • Site Issue Resolution: Answer RFIs (Requests for Information), solve technical site interface problems, and issue revised architectural details during construction when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design and production, covering both concept design and complete drawing packages
  • Strong design skills: space planning, efficient layouts, smooth circulation, and distinctive facade design
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into a successful design
  • Experience in site analysis, including plot conditions, orientation, setbacks, and regulations
  • Strong technical skills: producing complete, accurate architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, door/window/finish schedules) ready for execution
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, plus a rendering tool (Lumion, D5, Enscape, or similar)
  • Good knowledge of building codes and construction practices; experience with Saudi or GCC regulations is a plus
  • Fluent English, written and spoken;

Arabic is an advantage

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in site supervision, project management, or BIM coordination is a plus, but not required
