Chief Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and highly reliable Chief Accountant to join our growing team in Giza.

This role is responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, financial records, reporting activities, tax matters, audit support, and financial compliance requirements.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in accounting and finance, with the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations as well as handle tax audits, financial audits, and government-related inspections and compliance matters in Egypt.

This role requires a mature and detail-oriented professional who can maintain strong financial discipline and support management with accurate reporting and financial control.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily accounting operations and financial recordsPrepare and review invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, and expense recordsHandle accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections follow-up, and cash flow trackingMaintain accurate records of revenues, expenses, liabilities, and supporting financial documentsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reconciliationsPerform bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements and account balancesHandle tax-related activities, including VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, and related documentationManage and coordinate tax audits, financial audits, and government inspections in EgyptEnsure compliance with Egyptian accounting, tax, and statutory requirementsCoordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors, and government entities when neededSupport payroll processing through coordination with HR and managementMaintain proper filing and organization of accounting records, tax documents, and audit filesImprove financial controls, accounting procedures, and reporting accuracySupport management with financial analysis, budget follow-up, and operational financial visibilityUse accounting systems effectively, with ERP experience considered a strong advantage

7–12 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax handling, and complianceProven experience managing tax audits, external audits, and government-related accounting matters in EgyptStrong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirementsExperience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, collections, and payroll coordinationStrong ability to maintain financial discipline, documentation accuracy, and reporting qualityStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience using accounting systems or ERP platformsHigh level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational discipline

Preferred QualificationsExperience in IT companies, system integrators, managed services, or project-based businesses is a strong advantageFamiliarity with Odoo Accounting is highly preferredMBA is a strong advantageProfessional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, DipIFR, or equivalent are highly preferredExperience supporting management with financial controls and business reporting is a plusEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
