Senior Purchasing Manager

Job SummaryExecuting the purchase and sourcing of automotive tires and other automotive spare parts under the guidance of Head of purchasing.Growing the current business through the development of business scale and new product range with current suppliers and the development of new suppliers if need arises.The duties include planning annual / mid-term purchasing strategies and quantitative targets with Head of purchasing, maintaining positive relationship with suppliers, and supervising the purchasing department in their daily activities and reporting, analyzing surrounding business environments for facilitating the best purchasing decisions, and improving the company’s financial status by negotiating for the best deals with suppliers and following up daily sales movement.The job will require travelling to suppliers, tradeshows and countries we operate in.

ResponsibilitiesMaking the best purchasing decisions in terms of quality, cost and delivery based on the company’s policy, strategy, target and external factors.Ensuring reaching annual purchasing target per brand.Observing the whole purchasing process (order placement, price negotiation, PI confirmation, production & shipment follow up, payment) from management perspective to make sure all procedures being moved forward smoothly on time.Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising purchasing department, and allocating required tasks for the team.Providing trainings to the purchasing department to improve their business performance.Maintaining excellent business relationship with current suppliers through the proper business communication with them online and offline.Negotiating with suppliers for purchasing price, payment terms, production lead times, and other business agreements to reach specified business performance targets.Monitoring our daily sales momentum and profitability to ensure our purchasing price, volume and conditions are adequate.Observing tire industries news, raw materials’ market trend, suppliers’ news release and their financial statement, export statistics, competitors’ information to identify the future opportunities and risks.Seeking for an opportunity to grow business by finding new business and new product development.

3-5 years’ experience working in automotive or tire industryEnglish and Arabic speakerSeasoned Microsoft office skills, including making power pointStrong leadership capabilitiesStrong negotiation skills and networking within the industrySolid experience on new supplier development
