Specifications Engineer

Build a rapport with various project managers to discuss, negotiate, and offer different company industrial products.Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications for paint products and related solutions across multiple business divisions.Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure all specifications meet regulatory, industry, and customer requirements.Review and update product documentation to reflect changes in materials, processes, or standards.Provide technical support to sales, marketing, and customer service teams regarding product specifications and application guidelines.Participate in cross-functional meetings to align product specifications with business objectives and market trends.Conduct regular audits of product specifications to ensure ongoing compliance with local and international standards.Analyze customer and project requirements to tailor specifications for unique applications or environments.Assist in the evaluation and selection of raw materials and suppliers based on technical criteria.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Monitor industry advancements and integrate best practices into the specification process.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,, Materials Science, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in a specifications engineering or technical documentation role, experience within the paints, coatings, or chemicals industry is a mustStrong understanding of technical standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Proven ability to interpret and develop detailed technical documents and specifications.Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Experience with quality assurance processes and compliance audits.Proficiency in technical writing and documentation tools.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
