Job Description
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper accounting treatment of all transactions.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Support external auditors and facilitate annual audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain product costing systems for brick and ready-mix concrete production.
- Analyze raw material consumption, labor costs, overhead allocations, and production variances.
- Monitor manufacturing costs and recommend cost reduction initiatives.
- Review and validate standard costs and actual production costs.
- Analyze profitability by product line and production unit.
- Supervise inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.
- Ensure periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliation with accounting records.
- Monitor stock movements and identify discrepancies.
- Participate in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.
- Prepare management reports and financial KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations, VAT requirements, payroll taxes, and withholding taxes.
- Coordinate tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and internal control procedures.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team.
- Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, stores, production, and senior management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum12-15 years of accounting experience
- Minimum5 years in a Chief Accountant or Senior Accounting positionwithin Interlock or Ready mix concrete products.
- Mandatory experience in:Interlock Manufacturing.Ready-Mix Concrete Plants.Cost Accounting.Inventory Control.Industrial Financial Reporting.
